How much do the pants shrink?
Our pants and shorts are made from 100% cotton canvas duck, so they can shrink up to 3%. This is standard for cotton. If the pants fit when you first take them out of the bag, we recommend you wash them (cold/warm) and dry (low/hang dry) and they should still fit just fine. But don’t worry, if they don’t fit then, you can still return them, washed.
As you break in your pants you’ll find that they start to take your shape. They will tighten up a touch with every wash then loosen up as you wear them. They soften up tremendously as you wash/wear them.
How should I break in these pants?
We recommend washing them more often than you usually would at the beginning. That will help you break them in faster. Soon you’ll find them soft and fitting like a glove!
I’m a woman. I must be curvy cut, right?
Not necessarily. Remember, these pants are made for women, so both the straight and the curvy styles are designed with women in mind. For more information on finding the right style for you, visit our style and sizing page.
I heard you make a line of men’s pants, but I can’t find them.
Men have discovered how awesome Red Ants Pants are – so much so that they are buying them for themselves. Our male customers are construction workers, plumbers, oil field guys, mining engineers, roofers, ranchers and motorcyclists. There is no separate men’s line. But most men buy the straight cut.
I’m having trouble figuring out my size and style. Help!

Can I find Red Ants Pants in other retail locations?
Not quite yet, but lots of stores are asking for us! Currently, our international HQ and only store is in White Sulphur Springs, Montana, which is the best brick and mortar spot to buy them. Come visit! There is a very small selection available at Grizzly Peak Outdoors in Red Lodge, Montana, though they don’t have the full line. We’ll update here as our pants are available in other locations!
Do Red Ants Pants have a warranty?
Red Ants Pants are made for hard-working women! That hard work looks different for each user of our products, so there is no specific warranty. That said, we absolutely stand behind the quality and construction of our products. If you are not satisfied with its quality based on normal wear within 90 days, you may see our “Returns & Exchanges” for more details.
Why did you change the sizing scheme of your pants?
We updated our size chart to help you find the right fit—easier, faster, and with more confidence. Our original sizing was modeled after men’s work pants, simply because women’s work pants didn’t exist when Red Ants Pants was born. Can you believe that? We’ve come a long way, and so has our community.
With your feedback and years of fit experience, we’re proud to introduce new sizing that’s made for real women, every shape, every season, every job. Because you shouldn’t have to work harder just to find your fit.

Finding a pair of pants that can keep up with me is a challenge. I'm about four washes in with my Red Ants Pants and a big fan. I like them more after each wash. A couple of big bonuses for me. The phone holder is the perfect size and at the perfect spot for me. It also doubles as a place to hold my hoof pick or syringes.
I also appreciate the waist/leg size. It's challenging for me to find comfortable pants at the right height around my waist. I do a lot of sitting and standing between milking and moving animals. These so far have stayed in the places I need them to stay. So far so good!
Finally! These pants fit just the way I need them to- no slipping down but not too tight at the waist. The fabric is heavy duty, unlike a lot of other “for women” work pants. I love them.
I found these scrolling on instagram, I generally avoid women’s works wear because I feel like it sexualises clothing that should be built for durability. Based off first look and wear I really like them, they fit right without hugging every curve. A bit more expensive than what I usually buy. But I love that the pants come from a women built business who seem to care deeply about the functionality and quality of the pants. I cant wait to put them through the works and see how they hold up.
